Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Aegis VPN you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 16 (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) and legally able to enter a contract. These terms are operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], registered in [JURISDICTION].

Aegis VPN provides encrypted tunnel access through servers in the locations we publish, using the WireGuard protocol through official clients. We aim for continuous availability but we do not promise uninterrupted service: servers fail, addresses get blocked, and maintenance windows happen. Current status is published on our status page.

We do not offer the service where VPNs are prohibited, or where providing them requires a licence we do not hold. You are responsible for complying with the law where you are. Using a VPN to circumvent national network regulation is your legal exposure, not ours, and we will not support it.

• Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account
• Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access

Using the service to do any of the following is a material breach and we will terminate the account:

We may throttle, suspend, or block traffic that threatens service stability even if it is not on this list. We will tell you why where we can.

Buying a plan in the expectation that a particular catalogue will be available is a purchase we advise against. If that is your only reason for subscribing, use the refund window rather than filing a dispute later.

• Plans are billed in advance for the period you choose (monthly / annual / multi-year)
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. Renewal happens on the billing date, and we email a reminder before annual and multi-year renewals
• Cancel any time from your account page or by emailing support@[DOMAIN]. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not by itself produce a refund
• If we change the price of a plan, we give existing subscribers at least 30 days notice by email, and the change takes effect at your next renewal
• Prices are shown in your selected currency and exclude any tax, which is added at checkout
• Payments are processed by [PAYMENT PROCESSOR]; we never see your full card number

Our Refund Policy is part of these terms. In short: first-time subscriptions carry a [30]-day money-back guarantee; renewals are refundable only in limited circumstances described there.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We specifically do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or able to access any particular destination.

A VPN is one layer of protection, not a complete one. It does not make you anonymous, it does not stop malware, and it does not protect data you hand to a website after the tunnel ends.

To the maximum extent permitted, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Our total liability for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, and statutory consumer rights in your jurisdiction.

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the service in breach of these terms, including claims brought by third parties whose rights your use infringed.

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate immediately if you breach section 04, if we are required to by law, or if continued service creates legal or security risk for us. Where we terminate without cause on a paid plan, we refund the unused prepaid portion. Termination for breach carries no refund.

You may not use the service if you are located in, ordinarily resident in, or a national of a jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions ([e.g. UN, US OFAC, EU, UK lists]), or if you appear on a restricted-party list. You also agree not to export or re-export any software we supply in violation of export control law.

These terms are governed by the law of [JURISDICTION], excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Courts of [CITY / COUNTRY] have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers in the EEA, UK, and other jurisdictions with mandatory local protections may bring proceedings in their country of residence and retain any rights that cannot be waived.

• We may amend these terms; material changes are announced by email at least 30 days ahead
• If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in force
• Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it
• You may not assign these terms; we may assign them in a corporate reorganisation
• These terms plus the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy are the entire agreement between us
